Adult Pickleball (6-Week Program) Serve, rally, and have fun this winter with our Adult Pickleball program at the Block. January 22Leisure Ice Rink IS OPEN as of today!The hockey rink still requires some love and attention. We hope to have good news very soon. Please check back to see when the hockey ice rink will be opened.

With the water restrictions being lifted, we can once again start re-building and flooding our rinks – HOORAY! The Hockey Rink 𝗮𝗻𝗱 Leisure Rink are still closed but we will post when we are able to re-open for skating and hockey. https://www.calgary.ca/…/bearspaw-water-main-break.html

Due to the lovely Chinook weather and not being able to maintain the ice rinks with the water restrictions over the past few weeks, our rinks are starting to melt and be unsafe.We will be closing both the Hockey Rink and Leisure Rink effectively immediately.Please check back for updates.

We are managing without daily floods due to the water restrictions. However, ice conditions are rough due to daily use and minimal maintenance.With predicted warming temperatures over the weekend and into next week, we will be monitoring the quality and safety of the ice.Please keep an eye here for updates.Be safe and have fun!

Important Rink Update ❄️ Due to the current City of Calgary water restrictions, flooding at the SHOA outdoor rinks has been temporarily paused. The rinks will remain open during regular operating hours; however, ice conditions may vary during this time. We appreciate your understanding as we do our part to support citywide water conservation efforts. Our team will continue to maintain both the Hockey and Leisure rinks as best as possible through regular scraping and surface care. Should conditions deteriorate and the ice become unsafe, we may need to temporarily close the rinks to protect the ice and ensure
